A great information source about merit badges, their requirements and resources is available at Scouting.org. Always refer to a Merit Badge handbook either borrowed from the Troop 10 library, borrowed from the public library or purchased from Council to help learn the material and be the definitive list of requirements.

Parents are encouraged to share their knowledge by becoming a merit badge counselor. Information on becoming a counselor and the application is available here.
