Cold Weather Camping Checklist

-Cold Weather Sleeping Bag, and fleece liner, or summer bag used as liner

-Sleeping Pad, closed cell like Therma-rest.

-Winter Hats - one for day and one for night

-Gloves - at least two pair

-Glove Liners - adds warmth and can be used for sleeping

-Neck Gator or Scarf

-Long Underwear, tops and bottoms - one pair for play and one pair to sleep in

-Polar Fleece Layers

-Old wool sweater

-Snow Boots-plastic bags to put your feet in when the boots get wet

-Warm Winter Coat

-Snow Pants

-Wool Socks - several pairs, so you always have a dry pair

-any warm clothes - to be used as layers

remember, cotton is rotten, stay away from cotton since it absorbs moisture. Moist clothing will accelerate heat loss.
